About Hannie

Hello! My name is Hannie, and I am a patient and supportive tutor who enjoys helping students build confidence and understanding in their learning. I have experience supporting younger students through informal tutoring and volunteering in English, Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, and Physics. I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, step-by-step explanations and adapting my teaching style to each student. I was Proxime Accessit in Year 13 (with first in English, second in Biology and Calculus, and distinction in Physics and Chemistry), received the top Academic Cup in Year 11 and Year 12, won a Senior Secondary Oratory Award, and received Excellence endorsements throughout high school. I achieved a 98 ATAR equivalent, with strong strengths in English and science subjects. I commenced tertiary studies in health sciences at university and am currently taking a gap year, with plans to return to study next year. I look forward to the opportunity to support students in their learning journey.
