I am a bubbly, kind and motivated 18-year-old who enjoys meeting new people and helping others grow. I am currently studying at Victoria University of Wellington and have a strong interest in technology, including experience designing a satellite intended to go into space. I am also a classical dancer and pianist, which have taught me discipline, patience and creativity. My teaching style is encouraging, adaptable and easy to understand. I break difficult ideas into smaller steps, use examples and guiding questions, and make sure students feel comfortable asking for help. I believe mistakes are part of learning and should never make a student feel discouraged. I want to become a tutor because I love seeing students gain confidence and experience that “lightbulb moment” when something finally makes sense. Helping someone improve, feel proud of themselves and enjoy learning would be incredibly rewarding.

Hi! I’m a 21 years old French student in Chemistry (Master’s degree from Chimie Paris – PSL, best chemical engineering school in France !) currently completing an internship at the University of Auckland. I offer tutoring in Maths, Physics, Chemistry (up to NCEA Level 3) and French (all levels, native speaker). My teaching focuses on clear explanations and deep understanding to build confidence and autonomy, especially for exams. I adapt each lesson to the student’s needs, combining theory, guided exercises, and exam practice. Lessons usually last 1–2 hours. I have tutoring experience in France, helping students improve results and confidence. I’m also very active (football, volleyball, trail running, skiing), which taught me discipline and consistency. I enjoy sharing knowledge and helping others improve. Coming from a family of teachers, I offer a structured, reliable, and professional approach.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does NCEA French tutoring cost?
Rates vary by tutor experience, level and location. As a general New Zealand market guide, not a figure calculated from NCEATutor's own tutors, NCEA tutoring in most subjects tends to fall in the $40-70/hour range. Each tutor sets and lists their own hourly rate on their profile - check there for the real number before you get in touch.
What NCEA levels does French tutoring cover on NCEATutor?
Tutors on NCEATutor can help with NCEA French at Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3, covering both internal assessments and external exams. Each tutor's own profile lists exactly which levels they personally teach.
Should I choose online or face-to-face French tutoring?
Online tutoring works well for most subjects with screen sharing, and it usually opens up more tutor options at a lower cost. Face-to-face can suit French better if you or your child prefer working side-by-side. Every tutor's profile states whether they offer online, in-person, or both.
How can I tell if an NCEA French tutor is qualified?
Check each tutor's profile for their subject background, the qualification documents they've uploaded, and which verification checks they've completed. NCEATutor shows only what has genuinely been checked - not a claim we can't back up.
