I’ve worked in education since 2016, teaching young people about reading and writing and the outdoors. I have my Bachelors in Secondary English Education and have worked with all age groups from 5 years to 18. I care very much for each young person I work with and enjoy helping them learn more about/build more skills around whatever it is they are working towards. Most of my work is in experiential, hands on learning that emphasizes art, nature, play, creativity, independence, empathy, curiosity, and confidence in the child.

Kia Ora, I’m a first year university student who’s just completed NCEA with excellence endorsed throughout all three years, as well as multiple scholarship subjects. I enjoy talking to people and helping and I’d love to help more students succeed.

Both my parents come from Germany, so I am very fortunate to have German as one of my native languages. I grew up in Dunedin; however, I have lived in Germany for 2 years where I went to a German Gymnasium. Being a private tutor has given me great communication and people skills. I have learnt how to help different people based on their needs. Private tutoring is something I really enjoy since it gives me the ability to pass my knowledge onto others. Through private tutoring I have been able to help people and see them succeed which has brought me a lot of joy. My tutoring sessions have contributed to a significant increase in my students' test scores by providing them with personalized tutoring sessions. I was and am able to implement innovative teaching techniques to maintain student interest and engagement during lengthy tutoring sessions. I tutor a range of subjects from primary to high school level, apart from German which I teach at university level.

Hi there! I'm studying law at the University of Otago, and was Dux and Deputy Head Prefect in my final year. I have achieved Excellence endorsements for Maths, History, Chemistry, Physics, and English. I've also achieved NZQA Scholarships in English, History, Biology and Chemistry. Subject prize winner at school for Maths, English, History, Chemistry, Biology, Physics — many of them multiple times.
